The CF2025 band lineup is complete. We feel we have a great group of bands playing this year. As you know, we support local musicians, but we don't limit ourselves to our immediate area. We like to find bands from all over Wisconsin and beyond. We have music coming from all directions.
One band has been here a couple times already and has played for other friends as well. The West Avenue Band will be back with the best stoner rock ever. Because we had such a huge response to some musicians last year that we decided to ask them to come back and they said they would. One of them was CF2024 headliner, OTIS. We've never had a headliner comeback for 2nd year before. Not only was EVERYONE impressed with them, they were impressed with our little party, so when we asked if they'd mind coming back, they said they'd love to. Also coming back is a soloist that a lot of people were impressed with is Keith Daniel's Psycho Swamp Stomp Band. There's someone else that is a CF veteran that will be performing. Tom Jordan from 20 Watt Tombstone will be on the solo stage as Reverend Meantooth.
As you know, we've been slowly ramping up the Friday night pre-party. It originally started years ago with some tunes and a bonfire. Then karaoke added and eventually that was fazed out for a small PA with music. Ideas were tossed around and a couple years ago, the solo stage was added with a couple local guys doing some solo stuff.
By now, you should know that local favorite Brad Janssen who transplanted to Nashville comes back every year and pretty much opens CF every year now. Last year, we added a Friday night fishfry that's put one by our hot food vendor, Salty Bones from Mosinee. It went over so big last year that they ran out of fish. They said they'll bring more fish this year and it's going to start an hour earlier.
But that's not it. For the first time, we're going to have a full band on Friday night. After Brad opens CF during the fishfry, we're going to have a Red Hot Chilli Peppers tribute band called...you ready?....Red's Hot Chili Peppers. They kick ass and you'll be surprised how many RHCP songs you really know.
Also new to CornFest this years be local blues legend, Jon Peck & the Bad Dogs will grace the stage on Saturday. Also will be a band you didn't know you knew with some old players from back in the day called Double Threat that does some kick ass classic rock you just don't hear anymore.
